Frequently Asked Questions
Sprouts can be enjoyed in many healthy, delicious, and creative culinary ways. They’re packed with nutrients, enzymes, and plant-based protein, making them a great addition to any meal. Eat them raw in salads, wraps, or smoothies for maximum nutritional benefit, or lightly cook them by steaming or stir-frying. Keep them refrigerated to maintain their quality and freshness!
Our sprouts are ready to eat and do not require washing. They are thoroughly rinsed during our production process and packaged in a food-safe environment to ensure freshness and quality.
All sprouts should be refrigerated ideally between 36 and 40 degrees. If too hot, they will decay. If too cold, they will ice up and freeze. Wheatgrass can be left out, but it will shorten its shelf life. There is no need to water them.
Our sprouts are free of preservatives, pesticides or additives. Bean and soy sprouts are old when brown and / or slimy. The green sprouts are old when the roots are brown. Discard if they become wet and soggy. For the Crunchy Mix, they are old if the tails growing out of the beans become very long or brown.
At Fullei Fresh, quality and freshness are our priority. Our sprouts are delivered at their peak and clearly marked with a best-before date for your convenience. Fresh sprouts should be crisp, bright, and mild in aroma. If they appear slimy, unusually soft, discolored, or have a strong odor, they should not be consumed.
Fullei Fresh sprouts are available at many retail grocery stores throughout the Eastern United States, as well as through a wide network of foodservice distributors. Check with your local grocery retailer or distributor for availability.
There are many different reasons why. Most have to do with growing conditions. Even though sprouts are grown indoors, there are many variables which affect appearance and taste, such as water quality, water temperature, room temperature, humidity, air flow, and lighting.
For fresh sprouts, please take them back to the store for a refund. In most cases we do not sell to individual stores or the end user. We try our best to have our products arrive in good condition. A number of factors affect the condition in which you received them. We stand by our products sold directly to our customers.
