Frequently Asked Questions

How do I eat sprouts?

Bean and soy sprouts can be eaten raw or cooked. Green sprouts (with the exception of wheatgrass) can be eaten raw in salads or sandwiches or added to cooked foods. Wheatgrass is usually put in a juicer and drunk as 1 ounce shots. It is strong and not advisable to drink more than 1 a day. Please visit our blog and follow us on Facebook and Instagram @fulleifresh for recipes and tips.

Do I need to wash sprouts?

It is optional. Our sprouts are washed at our facility and tested for e.coli and salmonella prior to shipping, but it never hurts to rinse them off if you desire. They are ready to eat out of the package.

How do I store sprouts?

All sprouts should be refrigerated ideally between 36 and 40 degrees. If too hot, they will decay. If too cold, they will ice up and freeze. Wheatgrass can be left out, but it will shorten its shelf life. There is no need to water them.

How do I know if the sprouts are old?

Our sprouts are free of preservatives, pesticides or additives. Bean and soy sprouts are old when brown and / or slimy. The green sprouts are old when the roots are brown. Discard if they become wet and soggy. For the Crunchy Mix, they are old if the tails growing out of the beans become very long or brown.

What are the numbers on the sell by dates or boxes?

All our products are tracked by lot number. These can be found on retail packs with their sell by date.

Where can I buy fresh sprouts?

The majority of our customers are distributors in the Southeast USA who then sell to various stores. A list of our customers can be found on the Where to Buy page. For sprout powders, please contact us.

Why don't my home grown sprouts look like Fullei Fresh's sprouts?

There are many different reasons why. Most have to do with growing conditions. Even though sprouts are grown indoors, there are many variables which affect appearance and taste, such as water quality, water temperature, room temperature, humidity, air flow, and lighting.

Can I get a refund?

For fresh sprouts, please take them back to the store for a refund. In most cases we do not sell to individual stores or the end user. We try our best to have our products arrive in good condition. A number of factors affect the condition in which you received them. We stand by our products sold directly to our customers.
